Ohh What To Do??

I am feeling very overwhelmed and unfocused! I’m not whining, just stating a fact. Here are my thoughts, asking for your help and feedback.
- Set the focus for my SquidTop Blog; make fan appreciation posts or ???
- Work on my new blog, Hearts and Hands; thought I’d make it about random things happening in our lives with links back to relevant Squidoo lenses.
- Have our website be a landing spot to highlight our businesses, where to find us on the Internet, etc.; If you have a website, what do you use it for?
- Work on lens updates; any thoughts on a good schedule for this? Remember reading a tip somewhere that it is good to update on or around the 23rd of each month…is that true?
I look forward to having you share your thoughts.

Thanks for the comment on my lens, Clouda! I hope your projects all work out. =]

I think you’re wise to decide on a focus for each of your blogs and your site. About the updates, I try to update a few lenses daily. Usually I update my most popular lenses plus a few that are the most out of date. Today I updated five of them.

I’d keep the business website pretty focused on business. You could link to your other online projects through your ‘about me’ page - I would not (as in never) put that on the main page of a website.
How about creating a new squidtop blog for appreciation posts? A ‘thanks you of the week’ blog or something? I’m sure many people would be interested to read that. Or do the same about the new giants - as you suggested to me privately a while ago?
I don’t do a schedule on squidoo - frankly it doesn’t pay enough for that. Just work on them when the mood hits you

The 23rd you say? I thought it must have been around then that people suddenly put more work into their lenses, as that’s when my lensrank starts to head south!

I just did some updates to my lenses last night. It seems that the last 7 days are taken into consideration when it comes to the monthend, so to make the most of that you probably should look to tweak and enhance lenses about a week before the month ends, and also work on getting extra traffic as well.
Of course figuring out what to change in a lens isn’t all that easy, neither is driving in traffic… We can only do what we can…
Good Luck with your blogs. I agree that it’s a good idea to keep them focused, especially if you want them to be more than just backlinks, and to have a following…

I agree pretty much with what has already been said. All of these are worthy goals so a schedule is good to work from to keep up with it all. Multiple blogs, a website or two and lenses keep you hopping!

I know where you are coming from. How to fit everything into a single day is hard to do on the best of days. For me, it’s getting the major things scratched off my daily list and then I work my way down. If I didn’t have my list, I would be lost. Most of the time it works.
